HISTORY
The Boone County Community Partnership is located in Boone County, Missouri. The cities of Ashland, Centralia, Columbia, Hallsville, Midway, Sturgeon and Rocheport make up our great Boone County with a population of just over 146,000. We are a 501 (c) 3 organization that began in March 1995 at the invitation of five Missouri state agencies:
Department of Elementary and Secondary Education,
Department of Health and Senior Services
Department of Labor and Industrial Relations
Department of Social Services.
This Tier One partnership was designed for the purpose of measurably improving results for families and children in Boone County. An Executive Order created by Governor Carnahan in 1993 created the partnership organizations across the state. The designation was re-established by Executive Order of Governor Holden in 2001.
The Family Investment Trust (FIT) now Family and Community Trust (FACT) Board, is a state level, public-private partnership that steers Missouri’s strategic direction for change oversees the management of the 21 partnerships across the state.
